Returning Students
Welcome Back! Follow these steps to return to Jefferson College:
- Determine if you need to re-apply.
- Students seeking enrollment at Jefferson College who have previously attended the College but who have not been enrolled for three or more semesters are required to complete a new admissions application.
- To be considered for any type of financial aid or scholarships, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://studentaid.gov/.
- The Jefferson College school code 002468.
- Request official transcripts from all prior institutions be sent to the Office of Admissions at Jefferson College, 1000 Viking Drive Hillsboro, MO 63050 or through the National Student Clearinghouse.
- If you did not previously submit official high school transcripts, please have those sent to the Office of Admissions.
- If you have not completed entry-level college courses in English and mathematics you are required to complete placement testing. Additionally, returning students will need to meet college reading placement scores.
- Meet with an Advising Specialist to register for classes.
- Please schedule an appointment using the Advisor Scheduling App. Once you are logged into your MyJeffco account and have the necessary transcripts and/or test scores on file with the Admissions Office, you can schedule an appointment with an advisor by clicking on the Student Tab and then on "Advisor Scheduling". Former students who have not attended Jefferson College for over one academic year (three semesters) should refer to the current College Catalog as their reference-not the catalog of original entry.

Academic Probation or Suspension
If you were previously on academic suspension when you attended Jefferson College, please review the procedure to appeal here: Academic Suspension Appeal Form.

Name Change
If your name has changed since you last attended Jefferson College please complete the Change of Name Form and submit one of the following items to verify name change to the Enrollment Services Office: Driver’s license, Social Security card, court order, and/or passport. Forms and documentation can be hand delivered to Enrollment Services: JCH, JCA, or emailed to register@jeffco.edu.
Jefferson College’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is now available. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for Jefferson College. The policy statements address Jefferson College’s policies, procedures, and programs concerning safety and security, for example, policies for responding to emergency situations and sexual offenses.
Additionally, this report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety, including topics such as: crime prevention, fire safety, Jefferson College Campus Police Department enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures, and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. Also included are crime statistics for three previous calendar years which were reported to have occurred on campus, in or on off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the school, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to the campus.
