Program Overview
The Precision Machining Technology (PMT) program equips students with the necessary skills in computer integration, critical for producing high-precision and intricately machined metal parts.
With the assistance of computer-aided drafting and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), the gap between manufacturing and engineering tightens. This technological advancement is crucial to streamlining processes and improving outcomes in precision machining.
Through the use of CAD/CAM technologies, the program enhances the relationship between manufacturing and engineering, leading to improvements in quality and efficiency. Upon graduation, students will be qualified for various roles within the industry, making a significant contribution to the growing demands for technical design.
This program requires the following supplies: 6in. Dial Caliper 0.001 graduations, 0-1 Outside Diameter Mic., Dial Test Indicator, Edge Finder set, 6in. Scale, 5/16 Lathe Bit, No. 2 Center Drill, Center Gage, 8in. Flat Mill File with Tang Handle, Deburring Set, Pocket Scribe, Hex Key Wrenches, 6in. Adjustable Wrench, Tool Box, Safety Glass’s, Machinist Calculator, Small Pad Lock, Flash Drive CNC only 8gig storage, CIM Work Shirt, 2 Note Books 1 Spiral and 1 Journal, Pen and Pencil.
