Jefferson College Hillsboro

Set majestically among 400 acres of sprawling oak trees and rolling hills, Jefferson College is located in Hillsboro, Missouri. The main campus features 10 buildings that each offer a unique experience. Building floor plans are provided to ensure you reach your destination with ease.


The Library-Administration Building

The original 1966 two-story Library Building reopened in March 2018 after a complete renovation. The new Library space has a collection of over 75,000 items, 75 student PCS, individual and group study spaces, abundant natural and LED lighting, expert assistance with research, and houses the Center for Teaching and Learning. The main entrances for the Library are on the northeast and west sides of the building. The entrance to the renovated and expanded is located on the southeast side of the Library Building. Career & Technical Education (CTE) Building
The sprawling Career & Technical Education Building contains a variety of programs including: Automotive Technology, HVAC, Healthcare, Precision Machine Technology, Veterinary Technology, Welding Technology, Workforce & Employment Services, a student lounge and the micro mart. CTE Floor Plan

Field House

The Field House provides a variety of activities for students, faculty, and staff. The fitness center was recently renovated and is equipped with Matrix machines, treadmills, rowing machines, elliptical and stationary bikes. The center is also equipped with televisions for viewing. There is an abundance of free weights for those wishing to strength train. Patrons must be 16 years of age or older to use the Fitness Center. The indoor track allows you to walk/run with the convenience of being inside. In addition, the Field House has a wheel chair lift system. The system is available inside one of the stairwells and will allow a wheelchair to access the upper level. Field House Floor Plan.

Fine Arts Building

Music, theatre, and art find their home in the Fine Arts Building. The building hosts many cultural events throughout the year including ethnic festivals, concerts, musicals, and plays. The Fine Arts Building is also home to many art exhibits.

Technology Center

The Technology Center offers the Academic Success Center which includes the Math Lab, Writing Lab, IT Lab, Science Lab, and Tutoring Services on the first floor. The Technology Center also offers student lounges.

Arts and Science I (ASI) Building

Arts and Sciences I includes vending machines and a student lounge with wireless Internet access. Students can also meet with the University of Missouri-St. Louis transfer specialists about completing their four-year degrees.

Arts and Sciences II houses the Accessibility Resource Office on the first floor and has a sunny student lounge and a computer lab. ASII Building Floor Plan.

Student Center

When students attend classes, their second home is the Student Center. From registration to Commencement, Student Services provides educational information and guidance on everything from financial aid to career choices. The main floor is the “one stop shop” for student needs. The Cafeteria provides great food and plenty of room for socializing. The College Bookstore on located on Level I. The top floor of the building housed the Vice President of Student services/Title IX Office, Project SUCCESS, counseling services, and the Student Compliance Department. Student Center Floor Plan.

Area Technical School (ATS)

Many of the high school students enrolled in the Area Technical School at the College attend classes in the Area Technical School Building. The Area Technical School Building, completed in the summer of 1999, consists of 32,709 square feet on two levels and includes classrooms, laboratories, and offices for several technical programs available to area high school students enrolled through 11 public high schools in Jefferson College’s service area. ATS Floor Plan.

Viking Woods Student Housing provides an opportunity for Jefferson College students to learn new life skills through independent living and relationship building.  Our multi-person apartments are nestled on a southern hillside of the Hillsboro campus - just a short walk to everything the campus has to offer.  All apartments are equipped with full access kitchens and furnished living areas.
