Cap and Gown Informaton

• Candidates for graduation who have applied and deemed eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony will need to place a cap and gown order by March 31st.  Only candidates eligible to graduate should complete this online cap and gown order form. After you click on the link for the cap and gown order form, choose Cap and Gown Order Now. You will have four choices to indicate the year of your tassel and the order pick-up campus location (Hillsboro Bookstore or Arnold Front Desk) then choose "Shop". Click on the Cap and Gown tab at the top, and complete the information required for proper sizing to order your cap and gown and continue to place your order. Additional keepsake items are available for order should you want to purchase these items. 
• When placing a cap and gown order, payment is not due as the cost is covered by the graduation fee.
• Pick up your cap and gown between April 28th  - May 15th at the location you chose when ordering (Hillsboro Bookstore or Arnold Front Counter). It is highly recommended that you remove your gown from the plastic, cool iron or steam the gown, check the fit of the cap, and verify that you have a black tassel. Any apparel problems should be brought to the attention of a Bookstore associate as soon as possible. 
• Wear your cap and gown to the commencement ceremony. Changing rooms are not available.
• Your cap and mortarboard should sit on your head horizontal to the ground, not perched at an angle. The tassel hangs on the right.
• The cap and gown are yours to keep. Do not return them at the end of the ceremony.
• Caps may be decorated, but must be in good taste. Any cap decoration deemed inappropriate by staff will be replaced at Commencement.
• The gown may not be decorated with anything other than the approved cords/stoles/pins. The only approved cords/stoles and pins are listed.
