Applied Technology
Program Overview
Jefferson College offers an Applied Technology degree/certificate that allows students to customize their educational experience to meet both current employment needs and future career aspirations.
The program is designed to provide flexibility in course selection, enabling students to pursue their interests.
Degree Information
Students must take six hours of required technical coursework (CIS133-Microcomputer Software Applications BUS120-Principles of Management) and a minimum of 20 credit hours (core electives) in one of the programs listed below (list "A"). Students must take an additional 18 credit hours (technical electives) from any of the programs listed below (list "B").
To earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Applied Technology, a student must also complete a minimum of 18 general education credit hours. A student may earn an Applied Technology certificate by completing six credit hours of required technical electives (CIS133-Microcomputer Software Applications BUS120-Principles of Management), 20 credit hours of core electives from one of the programs listed (list "A"), 18 credit hours of technical electives from any of the programs listed (list "B"), and the First Year Experience requirement.
