BLS Training

Basic Life Support (BLS)

This course is designed for to train healthcare professionals how to perform CPR as well as other lifesaving skills, in a variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Each participant must obtain an 84% or higher on the evaluation and demonstrate proficiency in all CPR skills. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a BLS for Healthcare Provider course completion card valid for 2 years.

CMT Training

Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

To qualify, each applicant must be a current CNA with at least 6 months of verifiable experience.
The CMT training program prepares individuals for employment in intermediate care or skilled nursing facilities. The program teaches students the skills required to administer non-parenteral medications. This 8-week program consists of at least 60 classroom hours of instruction and a minimum of 8-hours of clinical practice under the direct supervision of an instructor. Upon successful completion of the program and testing, students' names will be placed on the Missouri State CMT Registry.

Female CNA

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

The CNA Program prepares students to perform basic nursing care skills for residents in long-term care facilities, under the supervision of charge personnel. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the State of Missouri written and practicum exams to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. The program offers four pathways for students to choose from.

Blood Sugar Test

Insulin Administration

PRE-REQUISITE: Student must be a registered CMT or MA-1 to qualify for registration in this course.
This professional-level course covers key aspects of diabetes management, including symptoms, medications, and treatment. Students will also learn insulin administration, infection control, and observation techniques. This two session course consists of a 4-hour classroom session, including a written final and a 2-hour practicum with a test; which must be arranged with the instructor.

Male Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant (MA)

Medical assistants play a vital role in the efficient operation of healthcare facilities. They are responsible for a range of patient care and administrative tasks, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications, providing wound care, assisting with procedures, managing medical records, processing health insurance paperwork and more. The Medical Assistant course includes 400 hours of online instruction and 80 hours of clinical experience. Open lab attendance bimonthly to practice technical skills with program instructor
Upon successful completion, students are prepared to test for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certification exams.

Patient Care Technician

Patient Care Technician (PCT)

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) training program prepares individuals for employment as PCTs in hospital settings. PCTs provide direct patient care and work alongside nursing staff, typically in hospitals. The curriculum covers measuring and monitoring vital signs, drawing blood, discontinuing IVs, and assisting patients with daily living activities. The program offers four pathways for students to choose from.

Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy technicians are essential to the smooth operation of pharmacies. They support pharmacists by precisely and efficiently preparing prescriptions, inputting patient and order data, processing insurance claims, and providing high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers. Program includes 400 hours of online coursework and a 100 hour externship. Upon completion of this course, you will be prepared to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE), offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
