Program Overview

The Theatre program presents a comprehensive opportunity for involvement in various facets of theatrical production.

  • Acting: Participants will engage in performance arts, learning the fundamentals of acting, character development, and stage presence.
  • Technical Theatre: This aspect covers the behind-the-scenes operations that are crucial for production. Participants will gain practical skills in managing various technical aspects.
  • Set Design and Construction: Students will learn how to design and construct sets that enhance the overall production. This includes skills in drafting and building physical structures that represent the play's environment.
  • Lighting: Participants will study lighting techniques and how to utilize lighting to create mood and focus on stage. This includes hands-on experience with lighting equipment.
  • Sound: The program will introduce sound design, including selecting, recording, and integrating sound effects and music into productions.
  • Costuming: Participants will have the opportunity to explore costume design and creation, which plays a vital role in character and storytelling.
  • Make-up: Students will learn make-up techniques that enhance performances by transforming actors into their characters.
