SkillUP Program

The SkillUP program offers paid training programs* to individuals receiving SNAP benefits (Food Stamps). Through short-term training programs, SkillUP can help individuals achieve a new career path and obtain employment. View the SkillUP flyer.

What is SkillUP?

The SkillUP program provides SNAP (Food Stamp) recipients opportunities to gain skills, training, or experience that will improve their ability to attain employment. The program offers short-term training and supportive services such as job search strategies to participants. The SkillUP grant is administered by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Support Division and funded through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Programs


Many short-term training programs are offered in Missouri for individuals enrolled in SkillUP. Jefferson College will help individuals select their desired program of study and offer both personal and academic assistance throughout.
